Online assessment platform development

InterEdu builds complete online assessment platforms: item bank, test blueprints, exam room delivery, marking, and result reporting. The team operates three assessment platforms it developed itself, covering school examinations, competency assessment, and language certification practice.

Three assessment platforms, running now.

Three different assessment contexts, three different requirement sets, one team that built all of them.

Competency assessment practice across six formats, HSA, TSA, SPA, BCA, QDA, and VACT, with strength and weakness analysis.

Language certification practice in a computer-delivered environment across seven formats, assessing all four skills with AI support.

What an assessment platform actually needs

The list below is the set of modules that have been built and are running, not a roadmap of intended features.

Exam preparation

  • Item bank classified by topic and cognitive level
  • Test blueprints and generation against a fixed structure
  • Multiple response types: multiple choice, fill-in, written answer
  • Bulk candidate roster import and account creation

Exam delivery

  • Exam room creation and candidate allocation
  • Timing control and scheduled paper release
  • Delivery on both desktop and mobile
  • Handling for lost connections and mid-session device changes

Marking and reporting

  • Automatic marking for objective items
  • Marking and review workflow for written subjects
  • Four-skill language assessment with AI support
  • Separate reports for teachers, parents, and students

Three ways to engage

An assessment platform can start from one real exam and grow, or be built to a full scope from the outset.

01

Pilot delivery

You want proof before committing

Start with one real exam at limited scope, review the outcome, then decide whether to expand.

02

Fixed scope

Requirements are complete

Built to an agreed scope, delivered against milestones, with operational handover on completion.

03

Operate then transfer

Your team will take over

InterEdu runs the platform with you at first, standardizes the process, then transfers the technology.

Frequently asked questions

Should we buy an existing platform or build our own?

If your assessment process matches the common pattern, an off-the-shelf platform is cheaper and faster. Building is only worth it when your process, paper structure, or data requirements differ enough that an existing product would force you to change how you work.

How many candidates can the system handle at once?

That depends on the deployment infrastructure and the session configuration. InterEdu agrees the target load with you upfront, then load-tests against the real session scenario before go-live.

Is exam security supported?

Session controls are designed against the risk level of each exam. The exact scope is agreed during requirements analysis, because a classroom quiz and an admissions exam call for very different levels of invigilation.

Can we operate it ourselves later?

Yes, and that is the model InterEdu works toward. The standard engagement ends with technology transfer, documentation, and training so your team can run exams independently.

What is specific about your exam?

Describe the exam type, candidate volume, and how you intend to use the results. Those three facts are enough to start.
